Meet the Team

I'm Dr. Brian Kovara, but I go by Dr. Brian. My journey began in Wisconsin where I was born and raised, where I did my undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. During the summer of my third year, I injured my lower back lifting a very heavy chunk of wood. My father suffered through bouts of acute lower back pain off and on throughout his life and he referred me to his chiropractor.

From a young age on, I knew that I wanted a career in healthcare, and my experience with my chiropractor solidified my decision. It was shortly thereafter that I enrolled at Northwestern College of Chiropractic in Bloomington, Minnesota. My graduation present was the birth of my son, Kennedy, who was born 3 weeks before I graduated.

After graduation, I spent the next decade working as an associate doctor at offices in Wisconsin and Illinois. This is where I met my wife, April. We have since been blessed with 2 daughters, Kailey and Kori, who have stolen my heart.

You're probably curious how I ended up in the Pacific Northwest! Well, from age 5 on, I grew up a Seahawks fan!! My love for the team brought me out for training camp and games over the years, and when the time came for me to leave my associate position, I wanted to go and be with my people! We landed on Bainbridge Island in 2014 and have enjoyed creating the office of our dreams over the years.

My experience over the years has evolved and I pride myself on providing corrective care to help the community restore function and regain their quality of life. Using a tried and tested method with the aid of pre & post x-rays, I have been able to get great results. My joy comes from seeing our practice members get their lives back. Outside of the office I enjoy walks with my dog, playing games with my kids, having coffee dates with my wife, and of course watching Seahawks games!

Hi! I am April Kovara (Dr. Brian's wife). I have worked alongside Dr. Brian for many years now. Holding positions such as front desk, billing, health coaching, office managing, and marketing- I have become a jack of all trades at the office.

Originally from Illinois, you may pick up a Midwest 'accent'. Although I greatly miss Chicago-style hot dogs and deep-dish pizza, I do not miss the snow.

When not at the office, I love spending time with our two girls, reading, and enjoying a perfect cup of coffee. I love to bring laughter and smiles to those around me and our office is no exception. We have an incredible atmosphere here at Living Well that will have you feeling like family.

Hello! My name is Amelia Blasche. I was born in sunny California and raised in the great Pacific Northwest. My partner, Robert, and I have a blended family that include my two daughters, Isabelle (16) and Olivia (15) his son Koebyn (15), and our twin boys Frasier and Callum who are 14 months old. Our lives are pretty busy with sports, school dances, and plenty of adventures as a family.

My background is in customer service, teaching pre-k for over 5 years, and certified in Medical Billing & Coding. I was drawn to chiropractic care thru my own experience and the beneficial impact on my active lifestyle. Being a part of Living Well Bainbridge, I am able to see the amazing change in our patients' lives firsthand through the quality care we provide. I am proud to be a part of this team!

My name is Suji Butler and I was raised in Colorado, but due to my husband being Active Duty Navy, we moved to Washington with our son. From 2012 to 2016 I was a Master-at-Arms Petty Officer Third Class here in Silverdale and then moved on to completing my Bachelors in Biological Sciences on the pre-med track at Arizona State University in May 2022.

I aspire to become a chiropractor in my near future. Dr. Brian and his team were generous enough to make me a part of the Living Well family while I prepare to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2024.
